Key Responsibilities:

1. Understand and investigate the environment-microbe-human complex interactions, with a focus on the change of biofilm under pressure
2. Design and implement rigorous study
3. Conduct wet-lab experiments
4. Perform in-depth, critical data analyses
5. Effectively communicate through presentations and high-quality journal publications
6. Assist in supervising research students in the group

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in microbiology, bioinformatics, computational biology or a related field.
• Expertise in python, linux and HPC.
• Have experience in conducting wet-lab experiments.
• A strong interest in interdisciplinary research.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with group members and collaborators.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English – essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
• Ability to work efficiently and with minimum supervision.
