Postdoctoral Research Fellow

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University, is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to advance research in developing learning based optimization algorithms, human and AI coordination in best decision making for urban transportation related problems. The role will focus on developing generic frameworks and innovative methodologies to support human and AI coordination in optimal decision makings, while contributing to the broader research vision and long-term objectives of the research team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop mathematical modeling framework to find the optimal operation strategy for public transport services with autonomous vehicles
• Conduct computer programming to verify the efficiency of the designed solution algorithms
• Conduct survey to better understand the travellers' perception towards the new technology based public transport services

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in transportation engineering or related field
• Expertise in computer programming
• Knowledge in urban transportation studies, traffic flow theory, operation research
• Publication track record must be good
• Proficiency in English – essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
