Research Fellow Position

School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. We are looking for a Research Fellow to advance innovative research on the application of pinching antennas in wireless communications. The role will focus on designing, modeling, and evaluating pinching antenna–enabled systems to enhance signal efficiency, channel capacity, and network performance for next-generation wireless technologies. Working closely with faculty and industry partners, the position contributes to the University's mission of developing cutting-edge communication solutions and driving impactful research translation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake research and development necessary to achieve the goals of the research project in pinching antennas and NTU's responsibilities.
• Preparation of conference and journal papers for publication of project findings.
• Collaborate with the colleagues in School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the area of wireless communications.
• Participation in all project meetings; preparation and presentation of talks, posters and reports to disseminate the results of these studies.
• Participation in national and international conferences and workshops to present the results of the project to a wider audience and to learn about current advances in the field.
• Any other duties appropriate to the grade as delegated by the Principal Investigator

Job Requirements:

• PhD qualification degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
• Familiarity with pinching antennas and machine learning
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in python for machine learning
• Competent in soft skills / general personality traits e.g. information visualization, interaction design
