The Department of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is recruiting for the position of Research Scientist in the Division of Geriatrics. The appointment will be made at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Adjunct Professor. Candidates should have an MD and/or PhD. Physician candidates should be ABIM certified in Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine or ABIM board-eligible for Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine by having completed a Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine fellowship and have demonstrated competence in the practice and teaching of clinical geriatrics and/or palliative medicine. Candidates also should have demonstrated excellence in patient-oriented research or biology of aging research. Applicants are expected to have extramural funding and/or career development award funding and to ultimately develop an independent research program in aging research. Candidates must also have recognized skills in teaching and mentoring in an academic and scientific based institution.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$333,700. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
