The Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC) at Karolinska Institutet conducts research and teaching within immunology, infection biology, cell biology and cancer. Our key words are multidisciplinary, bridging, national and international collaborations.
As a research specialist with us you will have an opportunity to develop and apply single cell -omics to define host immune response during malaria infection in longitudinal cohort samples.
Developing and application of single cell transcriptomics (-omics) to understand host immune response during malaria infection.
You will become a part of a highly dedicated and international team, focused on innovative research in single-cell (-omics) technologies in malaria with a broader objective of using an integrated approach towards the elimination of the disease in endemic countries.
The main work duties are:
Development and implementation of new methods for NGS-based single-cell and spatial tissue analyses

To be eligible for employment as a Research Specialist, in addition to holding a Degree of Doctor, PhD, or having a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a Swedish doctoral degree, the applicant must have demonstrated research expertise as well as have documented postdoctoral research experience.
