The Brathwaite Lab is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician to join our team investigating curative strategies for children with Alport Syndrome. Our research integrates in vivo gene therapy models, functional genomics, and super-resolution microscopy to uncover fundamental mechanisms of podocyte biology and glomerular disease. As a member of our team, you will receive individualized mentorship and rigorous technical training in advanced molecular and imaging techniques, including:
Technicians in our lab are treated as scientific collaborators. As you develop mastery of core techniques, you will assume increasing responsibility in experimental planning, execution, and project coordination. We seek a disciplined, intellectually curious individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to precision. Prior laboratory experience (up to one year) is welcome but not required. This role is ideal for candidates planning to pursue MD, PhD, or industry research careers and seeking immersive, high-impact research experience.

Salary Range: $16.92 – $26.44 / Hourly. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
