The Centre for Medical Humanities at Uppsala University (CMH) conducts interdisciplinary research, networking, and educational development that brings together the disciplinary domains of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Medicine and Pharmacy.

CMH is currently run by a Director with the support of a Coordinator and is governed by a Board. Organisationally, CMH is located within the Department of History of Science and Ideas.
CMH is part of the Forte-funded research centre WHOLE. Within the framework of WHOLE, CMH conducts research, develops interdisciplinary working methods, and engages in collaboration.
The purpose of the position is to produce a handbook for WHOLE's internal collaboration, which involves a large number of researchers from biomedicine, clinical sciences, humanities and social sciences, technology and natural sciences, as well as external stakeholders and collaborations with patients, NGO's, and outreach to wider society. Through interviews with participating researchers, studies of interdisciplinary collaborations, and analyses of current research challenges, the researcher will produce a document that regulates issues related to data management, co-authorship, the use of AI, and ethical and sustainable working practices. The aim is to develop and make the best possible use of the centre's interdisciplinary breadth.
Great importance will be attached to personal qualities such as initiative, problem-solving ability, and creativity. We are looking for an organized and driven individual with an interest in developing ethical, sustainable, and synergy-creating interdisciplinary working methods.

The employment is a temporary position of 8 months. Scope of employment: 30%. Start date: 1 May 2026 or as agreed. Location: Uppsala.
