We are looking for a talented, motivated, and creative researcher with experience in intestinal cell biology, interested in applying this knowledge to bioengineering techniques such as organs-on-a-chip and biomaterials. You will become part of the interdisciplinary BioMicroSystems group, led by Maria Nordin. The BioMicroSystems group focuses on using microtechnology and microfluidics to solve complex biological questions. Specifically, we work with biomaterials, droplet microfluidics, and organs-on-a-chip, with a current focus on using these techniques to reconstruct in vitro microenvironments that can address complex biological questions in small intestine biology.
You will work at the Biomedical Center at Lund University. This is a unique interdisciplinary environment that offers fantastic opportunities for research and social interaction with a large and diverse group of excellent researchers. The facilities include laboratories dedicated to biomedical research, including cell culture facilities and wet labs, as well as access to several state-of-the-art core facilities, including flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, and genomics.
The fixed-term position as a researcher is primarily intended for someone who wishes to further develop their academic qualifications in research.

The position is a fixed term employment during 9 months at 100 per cent of full time. The starting date is April 1, 2026, or as soon as possible as agreed.
Researchers are covered by a local collective agreement on annual working hours for researchers and assistant researchers. The planning of annual working hours is done in dialogue between the manager and the employee.
