Responsible for the design and synthesis of novel PET radioligands as non-invasive biomarkers needed within the drug discovery and development process in several disease areas including neuroscience, neurodegenerative disorders, oncology, immunology and fibrosis.
Apply modern techniques in organic chemistry, PET radiochemistry and utilize current medicinal chemistry practices to go wherever the science leads to solve relevant problems.
Expected to integrate well as part of a multidisciplinary drug and PET ligand discovery team.
The position will involve working independently and alongside senior team members to gain experience and knowledge in the areas of PET synthesis, imaging and medicinal chemistry.
The position will involve daily work with high-energy PET isotopes using state-of-the-art containment and remote synthesis facilities.
Ph.D. in organic chemistry with 0-5 years of additional related research experience.
Must have basic experience in PET radiochemistry designing and executing radiochemical syntheses, using any of the common PET isotopes including 11C, 18F, 68Ga, 64Cu and/or 89Zr.
Expertise in the purification and characterization of PET radiolabeled compounds using modern remote controlled synthesis units and Chromatography, NMR, and LC/MS.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of synthetic methods and reaction mechanisms are required.
Good oral/written communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment are required.

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
