This role is based in Slough, UK and is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of purification processes for monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins. You will work within a collaborative development team supporting the delivery of high-quality bioprocesses from early development through to pilot and GMP manufacturing.

Develop, characterise and optimise purification processes for monoclonal antibodies and other recombinant proteins. Design and plan laboratory experiments to support purification process development, with guidance from senior scientists. Execute development studies with a strong focus on safety, quality, timelines and right-first-time delivery. Analyse experimental data and generate high-quality technical reports, presentations and protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to support process development and technology transfer activities. Maintain accurate experimental records and ensure all data is documented according to appropriate standards. Contribute to the efficient operation of the laboratory and maintain up-to-date training and compliance requirements.
Degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline with relevant laboratory experience. Knowledge of protein chemistry and purification techniques. Hands-on experience with laboratory-scale chromatography systems (e.g. AKTA) and ultrafiltration/diafiltration (TFF). Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to analyse experimental data and communicate results clearly through reports and presentations. Proficiency with laboratory software and standard IT tools (e.g. Microsoft Office); experience with Unicorn software is advantageous. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
