Pharmaceutical & Material Sciences (P&MS) is, within the Pharmaceutical Development & Supply (PPDS) organization of the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson, responsible for high-throughput experimentation, preformulation, biopharmaceutics, solid state form selection and understanding, and material selection and qualification.

In the P&MS team Belgium (Beerse) there is a temporary vacancy for a Scientist High-Throughput & Preformulation Sciences.

Job Description

Lead the design, execution, and analysis of high-throughput screening experiments related to solid state design, excipient selection and formulation design.

Develop new robust assays and workflows to support, automate and accelerate preformulation activities and formulation screening.

Innovate and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve data quality, data management and data analytics.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to formulation science.

Take part in research collaborations with academic and private organizations and consortia.

Work in a multidisciplinary team of researchers, internally as well as externally building and maintaining a strong relationship with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Degree in Sciences: Pharmaceutical, Chemistry (analytical/organic), Physics, Engineering or a related science with experience in preformulation, biopharmaceutics or high-throughput physicochemical characterization (PhD or equivalent by experience).

Proficiency in (pre)formulation development, especially in high-throughput screening

Proven expertise in assay development, miniaturization, automation, and data analysis

Experience with data management software and statistical analysis tools.

Team player, dynamic, creative, innovative and flexible.
