A Day in the Life:

Analyze cell culture media samples autonomously or with limited mentorship.

Perform analytical assays on MassSpec instrumentation focusing on small molecules and metabolomics.

Participate in analytical method development, optimization, and validation.

Keys to Success:

Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical instrumentation.

Initiative to engage in process improvement projects.

Strong communication skills to regularly update managers and teams.

Education:

Degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related field.

B.S. degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years of industry experience.

M.S. degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience:

Functional knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.

Experience with chromatography techniques such as HPLC/UHPLC and LC-MS technology.

Experience with processing untargeted and targeted MassSpec data.

Preferred experience with Thermo Scientific TSQ and/or Orbitrap MassSpec series instrumentation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Work is performed in a laboratory setting with routine exposure to hazardous materials. Strict adherence to safety protocols is required.

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $66,000.00–$88,000.00.
