Sanofi Manufacturing and Supply Organization is preparing its future through an ambitious program named Modulus. The Modulus Project is at the cornerstone of Sanofi's strategy, aiming to create a new generation of flexible, multi-product manufacturing facilities that are modular, adaptable, and powered by digital and automation technologies. The Singapore site is one of the flagship greenfield facilities designed to support both vaccine and specialty care biologics production, serving patients globally. Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics and Technology (MSAT) plays a critical role in bridging R&D and manufacturing. It drives process industrialization, continuous improvement, and lifecycle management of biologics products while integrating innovative technologies and data-driven approaches. The MSAT team is seeking a Scientist II, Analytical Sciences, who will be responsible for independently designing and executing laboratory studies to support manufacturing troubleshooting, technology transfer, and lifecycle management. This role works closely with MSAT engineers and QC teams to translate manufacturing challenges into scientific experiments and generate data-driven insights to support operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Effective communicator in cross-functional and multicultural environments. Ability to work independently with a high level of scientific autonomy. Scientifically curious with strong diagnostic and consultative capabilities. Proficiency in DOE (Design of Experiments) and statistical analysis tools. Familiarity with PAT (Process Analytical Technology) tools is advantageous.
Advanced degree (MSc/PhD preferred) in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. Hands-on experience in biopharmaceutical laboratory environments. Strong expertise in analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, CE, and cell-based assays. Experience in designing, executing, and reporting laboratory studies independently. Understanding of process interactions in biologics manufacturing. Experience with scale-down models and/or technology transfer is highly desirable. Familiarity with GLP, HSE, and basic cGMP requirements.
