Pfizer Andover seeks a Scientist for its Discovery & Regulated PK LCMS group in PDM to support LCMS bioanalysis for biotherapeutics and ADC projects. Key duties include developing LC-MS PK assays, analyzing samples, reporting data, LC-MS instrument operation and maintenance. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in successfully executing LCMS PK/TK assays with complex bioanalytical procedures. Experience with immunoaffinity capture, tryptic peptide selection, quantitative LC-MS techniques, and ADC handling is preferred. Independence, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn are essential.

This role involves sample preparation and analyte enrichment from blood serum/plasma or tissue homogenates using protein or peptide immunoaffinity in conjunction with LCMS-based detection, contributing crucial PK/PD data for drug development, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities also cover assay qualification, technology development, data analysis, and presentations to project teams.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

1. Responsible for the development, qualification and implementation of PK/PD assays using mass spectrometry in support of discovery and preclinical projects.
2. Works with group leads or other discovery and regulated bioanalytical team members and project team members to accomplish goals.
3. Participates in technology development and implementation by exploring new workflows to expand the group's PK LCMS bioanalytical capabilities.
4. Participate in all phases of mass spectrometry laboratory operations including technology evaluations, the development of sample preparation and separation methods, data analysis, interpretation, reporting and follow up discussions with the project teams on utilizing the data in appropriate decision making.
5. Ensure all tasks and responsibilities are carried out according to scientific and ethical standards e.g. responsible for electronic notebook record keeping; QC and peer review of data and reports.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

• Qualified applicants hold an MS with 4+ years of relevant work experience, ideally mostly in industry (or BS/BA with 6+ years of experience).
• Expertise in development, characterization, and implementation of bioanalytical LCMS assays.
• Experience in the operation and troubleshooting of LCMS instrumentation and associated operating/data analysis software including Skyline, Analyst, Sciex OS and Xcalibur.
• Hands-on experience of biological sample preparation procedures for quantitative LCMS assays on biotherapeutics.
• Knowledge of protein biochemistry of therapeutic antibodies, fusion proteins or ADCs.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

• Expertise in quantitative tissue bioanalysis and extraction methodologies of large molecules.
• Expertise in biological sample preparation techniques (immunoaffinity, tryptic digestion, tissue processing, conjugation, etc) of various biofluids.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, multitasking multiple programs.
• Experience working in a regulated bioanalytical laboratory and knowledge of GLP's is a plus.

Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel or Environment Requirements

Lab based position requiring to perform all typical laboratory related activities. Based in Andover. Occasional travel to Cambridge (Kendal Square) is required, depending on project needs. Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $77,100.00 to $128,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
