Scientist/Senior Scientist (QSM), SRTT-Q.InC

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented scientist to join our team in the development of next-generation quantum sensing technologies based on squeezed light. The successful candidate will join the Quantum Sensing and Metrology (QSM) Pillar of the A*STAR Quantum Innovation Centre (Q.InC). The position offers opportunities to collaborate both internally and externally and contribute to cutting-edge experimental quantum optics.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop squeezed light source
• Conduct experimental and/or theoretical research in quantum sensing using squeezed light
• Collaborate with international collaborators
• Development of the use cases of squeezed light
• Publish research results in journals and contribute to reporting

Requirements:

• PhD in physics, quantum optics, Engineering or related disciplines
• Background in either CV or DV quantum optics platforms
• Familiarity with quantum optics experiments such as squeezed light, spontaneous parametric down-conversion, etc.
• Strong communication skills
• Team work mindset
• Experience in any of the following is a plus (but not mandatory):
• Experimental optics, particularly quantum optics.
• Programming in Python, Mathematica, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or COMSOL
