Scientist/Senior Scientist (Quantum Interposer), (HI), IME

Scientist/Senior scientist will be part of heterogeneous integration group focused on development of the quantum packaging technology platforms to integrate qubit and control chip on superconductivity interposer.

He/she will work with cross functional team to:

• Develop process integration for superconducting nanowire base photo detectors.
• Test vehicle design and layout of a superconducting qubit and cryogenic interposers.
• Process development for quantum packaging. Develop design rules and PDK for quantum packaging technologies.
• Provide quantum packaging solutions to meet the system requirements based on simulation results.
• Prepare competitive grant research proposals and lead execution of these proposals.
• Engage industry partners to align and develop the building blocks required for next generations quantum packaging platforms.

Responsibility:

• Lead the integration of quantum interposer, quantum devices and related test vehicle development.
• Process requirement of the components based on the simulation results.
• The testing of the components of superconducting qubit.
• Process development for quantum packaging.
• Establish design rules and PDK for the components of superconducting qubit.
• Work with technical and business development team to initiate new industry consortium projects with supply chain companies.
• Collaborate with other programs, A*STAR institutes, IHLs for research grant projects proposals preparation.
• Collaborate with equipment, materials suppliers, and end user for the development of quantum packaging technologies.

Requirements:

• PhD in quantum computing; Electrical and Computer Engineering; Physics, Chemistry, Material science and related areas
• 4 to 5 years experience in process integration, preferable related to quantum devices and interposers.
• Understanding of quantum devices and circuits will be preferred.
• Working experience on measuring loss and dielectric constants of materials at cryogenic temperatures
• Effective communication, industry awareness, and critical thinking skills
