Scientist/Senior Scientist [RNA Therapeutics (DW Lab)], IMCB

We are seeking a motivated Scientist/Senior Scientist to join our research team at the RNA Therapeutics for Novel Therapeutics Lab. Our lab focuses on advancing the field of RNA therapeutics, with a strong emphasis on translational research aimed at clinical applications, while also fostering foundational discoveries in the delivery of RNA therapeutics. Our core technology platforms include rational design of antisense oligonucleotides and the development of innovative in vitro and in vivo methods for real-time and high-throughput functional delivery of RNA therapeutics.

This position involves conducting cutting-edge research in the field of RNA therapeutics, with a focus on in vivo work with animal models (mice and rats) to support the early preclinical development of our translational pipelines for metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases. The applicant is expected to plan and execute experiments to investigate efficacy, safety, and mechanisms of RNA therapeutics in vivo, while being able to analyze the experimental data, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions. As part of a vibrant team, the applicant will work closely with other members of the lab while being able to drive projects independently.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related discipline).
• Proficiency in handling animal models is essential. Experience with molecular biology work and cell culture is a plus.
• Proven track record of research productivity, including but not limited to publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
