AI And Robotic Process Automation Specialist

To strengthen the Student & Academic Services Department's capabilities and ultimately improve student experience, the Registrar's Office has developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) roadmap for SASD. A strong Digital Innovation and Transformation (DIT) team is crucial to drive the implementation of this roadmap, which will put in place a robust student data analytics architecture to advance operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making within SASD by leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, GenAI, and RPA. These technologies can transform student administration by automating tasks, improving decision-making, and boosting overall efficiency. By integrating these technologies with data analytics products developed by the DIT team, we will streamline administrative functions and enable seamless coordination across departments, colleges, and schools, leading to more efficient university-wide operations. The incumbent will play a key role in advancing these objectives, focusing on the integration of AI, GenAI, and RPA technologies to drive the automation of student administration processes, ultimately delivering enhanced operational excellence in support of the university's broader goals.

Role Purpose: Lead and implement Student Data Analytic Projects that aid data-informed decision-making and reporting, as well as to enhance student experience; and Manage Student Data Catalogue and metadata in Denodo virtual data warehouse and develop integrated datasets for data analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving the adoption of NTU Education Dashboards to support decision-making at various levels within the university.
• Leading, developing, and managing data analytics projects to provide useful insights from student data, such as student profiling, data analysis to support policymakers in shaping relevant policies, degree programme quality assurance analysis, forecasting future trends, recommending courses, exchange programmes, etc.
• Support business data users in automating student administration processes through Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and manage the student data catalogue for management reporting and data analytics projects, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Train staff on data-related frameworks, concepts, and competencies in data analytics.

Key Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or Mathematics. Over 7 years of professional experience in data analytics. Demonstrate technical proficiency in data modeling, database design and development, data mining, and machine learning techniques. Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) is advantageous. Proficiency with data visualisation tools such as Qlik Sense, along with programming proficiency in Python/R and SQL. Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools such as UiPath and Power Automate is an advantage. Proven track record in planning and executing data analytics projects to achieve business objectives. Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
