We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Peptide Synthesis Scientist to join our team and lead the development of peptide synthesis capabilities from the ground up. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing peptide synthesis workflows using the latest technologies, and will play a critical role in establishing lab infrastructure, protocols, and best practices. Experience in production or scale-up environments is a strong plus.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the setup and implementation of peptide synthesis platforms, including equipment selection and method development.
• Designing and synthesizing peptides using solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) techniques, including Fmoc/t-Boc chemistry.
• Applying cutting-edge technologies and automation tools to improve synthesis efficiency and peptide quality.
• Purifying and characterizing peptides using HPLC, LC-MS, MALDI-TOF, and other analytical techniques.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support research, development, and production scale-up.
• Troubleshooting synthesis and purification challenges and implementing effective solutions.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of experiments, protocols, and results.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Education and experience required: • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field. • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in peptide synthesis, preferably including lab setup or platform development. • Familiarity with advanced peptide synthesis technologies and automation systems. • Experience in production or scale-up environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge and skills: • Strong expertise in SPPS and peptide purification/characterization. • Knowledge of peptide modifications (e.g., cyclization, PEGylation, labeling) is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
