Join Amgen's Mission of Serving Patients
At Amgen, if you feel like you're part of something bigger, it's because you are. Our shared mission—to serve patients living with serious illnesses—drives all that we do.
Since 1980, we've helped pioneer the world of biotech in our fight against the world's toughest diseases. With our focus on four therapeutic areas –Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease– we reach millions of patients each year. As a member of the Amgen team, you'll help make a lasting impact on the lives of patients as we research, manufacture, and deliver innovative medicines to help people live longer, fuller happier lives.
Our award-winning culture is collaborative, innovative, and science based. If you have a passion for challenges and the opportunities that lay within them, you'll thrive as part of the Amgen team. Join us and transform the lives of patients while transforming your career.
Amgen's Induced Proximity Platform (IPP) organization is dedicated to pioneering transformative drug modalities that harness the principles of proximity biology. By developing technologies that bring proteins into close proximity, we aim to unlock access to previously undruggable targets and expand therapeutic possibilities across multiple disease areas, including Oncology, Cardiometabolic disorders, Inflammation, and Rare diseases.
Within IPP, the Targeted Protein Degradation function is driving innovation in Molecular Glue Degraders — small molecules that induce selective degradation of disease-relevant proteins. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to play a central role in the discovery and development of molecular glue degraders for high-value targets.
Our team operates at the intersection of biology, chemistry, and technology innovation, collaborating across functions to accelerate the discovery of transformative medicines for patients in need. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teams within IPP and partner functions to broaden our understanding of emerging IPP technologies and their and explore their practical applications.
The Targeted Protein Degradation function within IPP is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to support Molecular Glues discovery and to establish and execute phenotypic-based screening platforms. This dual focus role will be central to advancing Amgen's strategy in emerging induced proximity technologies and will provide the opportunity to lead from the bench while shaping platform capabilities that enable broad discovery efforts.
This position is ideal for a scientist who thrives on innovation, values collaboration, and is excited about the opportunity to integrate mechanistic biology with phenotypic screening to discover novel therapeutic opportunities.
