Thermo Fisher Scientific are currently hiring for a Sr Scientist to join a GCP laboratory testing samples from clinical trials using spectral Flow Cytometry. The role will be based at our client's site in Stevenage, UK and requires a Flow Cytometry expert to predominantly utilize the Cytek Aurora to generate data and perform data analysis using OMIQ software.
BSc Honours degree and/or Masters in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biomedical Science or related discipline. Masters/PhD in Immunology with strong computational element highly beneficial. 5+ years' experience solely in Flow Cytometry, ideally spectral cytometry (25+ colour panels preferred, 18+ colours acceptable). In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Proven experience with Cytek Aurora or Cytek Northern Lights or Sony ID7000. Experience with OMIQ/Cytolution/FlowJo analysis software. Experience of computational analysis of flow cytometry data (UMAP, tSNE, FlowSOM) highly desirable. Use of automation both in the lab and for analysis preferred. Proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities. Good written and oral communication skills with fluency in English. Time management and project management skills. Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team.
