The Biologics Automation and High-throughput Technologies Group at the Lilly Biotechnology Center in San Diego is seeking an Associate Lab Automation Scientist to support early-stage discovery and screening of protein therapeutics. Our team is working toward a vision of closed-loop autonomous discovery — where robotic platforms, lab digitalization, and AI-driven orchestration work together to accelerate how medicines are found. Getting there starts with a strong foundation: reliable instrumentation, connected workflows, and clean data flowing from the physical lab into the digital world. You'll play a hands-on role in maintaining and advancing that foundation, while growing alongside a team that is actively building toward the next generation of autonomous laboratory systems. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $71,250 – $187,000.
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).
