Summary: The Center for Plant Molecular Breeding (CeM²P) is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in sugarcane and pasture phenotyping, focusing on the use of advanced remote sensing technologies as drones and satellite imagery. The fellow will develop phenotyping tools and protocols to identify traits of agronomic interest in sugarcane and forage species, such as resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses and vegetative vigor.
Requirements:
• PhD in one of the following areas: Genetics and Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or Plant Biology.
• Advanced knowledge of plant phenotyping.
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing).
Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with programming and the use of machine learning tools.
Fellowship Details: The fellowship is for 3 years, with possibility of extension.
