The Program Coordinator supports the Department of Computer Sciences student affairs initiatives by providing administrative and operational support to both the student organizations program and the academic affairs team. In collaboration with the Senior Student Program Coordinator, this role serves as a primary point of contact for student organization leaders, serving as a resource on policies, procedures, and administrative processes.
Responsibilities include:
Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, one year of administrative assistant or administrative support experience, or high school graduation or GED plus five years of clerical experience. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required. Attention to detail and accuracy are necessary, along with excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and writing skills. Experience providing support in a customer service environment with excellent customer service skills is also required.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience with clerical functions. Proven problem-solving skills, demonstrated use of initiative and judgment, ability to work independently and as part of a team, experience working with the University of Texas at Austin policies and procedures, and knowledge of UT Mainframe, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Canvas, and UTBox are preferred.
Hourly rate is $25.00. Working conditions include a business casual attire and a standard office environment with occasional remote work permitted upon approval from supervisor.
