Project Overview
Speech and language disorders affect millions of children worldwide, limiting communication and quality of life. This PhD project will explore the use of Reinforcement Learning (RL) to create an intelligent decision support system that helps personalize speech-language therapy. The system will adapt to each child’s progress, providing tailored recommendations to support therapists and improve outcomes.
The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment bridging AI, neuroscience, and clinical research, with opportunities to collaborate internationally and contribute to the development of innovative therapeutic technologies.

Funding & Conditions
Minimum 27,000 CAD/year stipend, guaranteed until independent funding is secured.
Additional support available for conferences and training.
