Postdoctoral positions are available in the research groups of Sergey Frolov (University of Pittsburgh), Michael Hatridge (University of Pittsburgh) and Benjamin Hunt (Carnegie Mellon University).
Postdoctoral associates will collaborate within a vibrant quantum research cluster which also includes theory groups. Projects available immediately include:
1) investigation of topological quantum spin liquids in van der Waals heterostructures;
2) discovery of new materials for quantum computing and demonstration of new qubits;
3) definitive identification of Majorana modes in hybrid nanodevices;
4) design of new parametrically driven two qubit gates for superconducting qubits;
5) construction and operation of modular quantum computers.
University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, located side-by-side in Pittsburgh, PA, America’s most livable city, offer state-of-the-art nanofabrication, materials characterization and cryogenic measurement facilities and highly interconnected and collaborative laboratories for quantum research.
Interested candidates should first indicate their interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org . Consideration will begin immediately and continue until all positions are filled.
Both the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University are Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employers and value equality of opportunity, human dignity, and diversity. We strongly encourage members of minority and under-represented groups in academia to apply. Frolov, Hatridge and Hunt labs support a diverse and inclusive culture.
