A postdoctoral fellow position is available at the Center for Musculoskeletal Research, University of Rochester School of Medicine. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our NIH-funded research programs focused on bone tissue vascularization during repair and regeneration. The research program integrates bone tissue engineering, vascular biology, and skeletal biology with an emphasis on molecular and cellular mechanisms controlling bone specialized blood vessel formation during repair and regeneration. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of scientists to study bone and vessel forming cells and bone healing microenvironment utilizing state-of-the-art genetic, imaging and engineering approaches to explore and develop novel therapeutic strategies. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn cutting-edge technologies such as multiphoton microscopy, light sheet microscopy, spatial transcriptomics to advance the understanding of bone tissue repair and reconstruction.
