The Weizmann Institute of Science is, by most research rankings, the top academic institution in Israel and among the top in the world. Located in a leafy and picturesque suburb of Tel Aviv at the feet of the Judean hills, it is a 20 minute train ride away from Tel Aviv and 15 miles away from the Ben Gurion International Airport. The official language of the Institute is English, and the Institute provides furnished apartments for postdoctoral associates. The Institute has dozens of magnetic resonance instruments at its various departments, including a 1 GHz NMR spectrometer with cryoprobes, pulsed EPR spectrometers, multinuclear animal scanners at 7, 9.4, and 15.2T equipped with cryocoils, 3T and 7T whole-body Prisma and Terra human MRI scanners with massively parallel transmit and receive technologies and multinuclear options, a number of DNP hyperpolarizers, and numerous (dozens) of other scanners and instruments placed in various magnetic resonance buildings.
The University of Toronto is the top Institution in Canada and ranking in the top 20 universities globally. The University of Toronto is the largest university in Canada with more than 100,000 students across its campuses and colleges. The Environmental NMR Center (Directed by Professor Andre Simpson) houses a range of high field spectrometers with ~50 NMR probes, along with benchtop NMR, mobile NMR systems and a dedicated manufacturing lab. It is considered the top site globally for the development of Environmental NMR Spectroscopy.
Interested candidates should have a strong publication record and interest in NMR development. They should contact Lucio Frydman lucio.frydman@weizmann.ac.il and Andre Simpson [Please click the Apply button for the link or address] directly.
