We invite applications from researchers to join our Xr (extended reality) and Visual Computing research groups. We have 3 posts available from 1 May but there is flexibility for later start dates. The positions are initially limited to two years. Our research is at the cutting edge of Xr technology, and foundations in perception, attention, graphics and vision. As a postdoc, you would contribute to new research on intent inference from gaze, foveated rendering, and perceptual interfaces for Xr. Our work is interdisciplinary, and we welcome applications from individuals who bring complementary strengths in experimental research, computational methods, and the design, implementation, and evaluation of novel Xr techniques. The roles provide opportunity to contribute and collaborate at the top of the field internationally, with partners across academia and industry.
You should have a PhD in a relevant field (or completing a PhD by the start date), and a strong motivation for both blue skies research and technical innovation in Xr. We expect you to have extensive experience in Xr, Hci and visual computing, and/or in areas of fundamental relevance to Xr, for example, in computer graphics, or human vision and attention. The posts require research skills in the design of studies, use of methods, research prototyping and data analysis, and you should have documented experience in research project management, and a relevant publication track record.
