Post Baccalaureate or Post Doctoral Researcher Full-time

The highly motivated candidate will conduct immunology studies to study cardiovascular consequences of preeclampsia using mouse models to address this clinically relevant question. The laboratory is located in Vascular Biology and Therapeutics (VBT) Program within the Amistad Research Building on the campus of Yale School of Medicine. Yale VBT integrates exciting new discoveries in vascular biology with closely allied clinical programs in Medicine and Surgery to improve the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disorders.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

1. Experience in immunology techniques (flow cytometry, antibody mediated depletion of cells, adoptive transfer, immune cell isolation).
2. Proficient in mouse handling, injections, survival surgery and microdissection.
3. Proficient in molecular biology techniques is preferred: RT-PCR, western blotting, immunostaining/imaging, etc.
4. Proficient in mammalian cell culture techniques.
5. Independently develop protocols and establish new methodologies.
6. Excellent writing and communication skills including careful tracking and documenting results in laboratory notebooks and databases, analysis, summarization and presentation of experimental results to other team members, active participation in manuscript preparation and publication.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Postgraduate position: BS +/- MS in Biological Science-related field.

Postdoc position: Ph.D. in Physiology, Immunology, Pharmacology or related discipline
