Analyst support of sonar development programs in the Environmental Science Laboratory (ESL).
Conduct acoustic reconstruction/analyses of Fleet exercises/operations to determine the effectiveness of active and passive sonar systems at sea using quantitative measures of effectiveness (MOEs) of operational importance to the Fleet.
Active and passive sonar signal analysis supporting advanced research and development. Preparation and review of analysis presentations, reports and databases.
Presentation of analysis results at internal and external working group meetings.
Coordinate and conduct at-sea experimental reconstruction activities, including acoustic signal analysis & performance improvement analyses in support of cross-functional system engineering and development teams within the Environmental Sciences Laboratory.
Other related functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree.
Four years of operational experience in the employment and expert analysis of U.S. Navy sonar systems.
Demonstrated ability to reconstruct and analyze active and passive sonar data.
Demonstrated ability to develop acoustic collection plans and deliver briefings to Senior U.S. Navy commands.
Work as a team member, independently, with peers, clients, and management.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

$75,000-$83,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
