Welcome to jobRxiv’s Biotech and Pharma salary explorer! It’s still very new so there might be bugs, issues with the data, things to improve or remove – comments or suggestions are very welcome: info[at]jobrxiv.org !

Some notes about the tool and data:

1) The goal of the tool is to allow jobseeking scientists to get a sense of salaries in different parts of the world, at different career stages, and across companies.

2)The data is based on jobs sent to jobRxiv in the last ~year. It is not by any means an exhaustive list of all science roles in industry worldwide and has several important biases:
-although many large pharma and biotech companies are represented, there are obviously many many more that are not included. We would love to include data from any biotech company of any size – if you work at a company that’s not represented here yet, please reach out!
-there is a huge bias towards the US in the data: this is in part because that’s where there are more jobs, but mostly it’s due to the availability of salary information in job postings. This is a legal requirement in multiple US states, and in some Canadian provinces but not yet in most of the rest of the world. Luckily this should change by end of 2026 with new laws coming in effect in the EU and elsewhere.
