The Department of Urologic Sciences at The University of British Columbia (UBC) invites applications for a full-time academic urologist with specialized expertise in kidney cancer at the rank of Assistant Professor, Grant Tenure Track.
The successful candidate will also be appointed as Senior Research Scientist in the Vancouver Prostate Centre and Centre for Urologic Oncology of the M.H. Mohseni Institute of Urologic Sciences. This position provides access to cutting-edge facilities and collaborative research networks, opportunities for leadership in clinical trials and translational science, and a vibrant academic community committed to improving patient outcomes through innovation and evidence-based practice.
Reporting to the Head of the UBC Department of Urologic Sciences, the successful candidate will develop and lead a clinical and translational research program in urologic oncology, with a focus on kidney and testicular cancer, leveraging expertise in clinical outcomes, genomics, and metabolomics. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the teaching activities of the Department, as well as provide mentorship and training to undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate learners. The incumbent will also be expected to provide service to the University and the broader academic and professional community. They will work collaboratively in diverse groups to bring forward strategic initiatives for the Department and the Faculty. The successful candidate will be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Urology and eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).

The expected academic salary for this position is $110,000 per annum in addition to fee-for-service payments for patient care.
