We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our DNA Core facility, a collaborative team that supports research across Regeneron through nucleic acid isolation and purification, gene expression and genotyping by real-time and digital PCR, synthetic biology and molecular cloning, plasmid DNA extraction, Sanger and Nanopore DNA sequencing, and serum chemistry analysis. In this role, you will complete assignments in a timely manner, follow established scientific protocols, and contribute to technology development and process improvement.

Discover your role:

• Perform synthetic cloning, plasmid extractions, and sequencing as needed
• Troubleshoot technical issues and communicate clearly with leadership and team members.
• Analyze and present data
• Support lab and equipment maintenance, including ordering supplies and reagents to promote a safe, efficient working environment
• Maintain accurate, complete records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
• Perform laboratory work involving pipetting, computer-based tasks, and communication with scientists across Regeneron
• Program, operate, and troubleshoot robotic platforms and liquid handlers

This role requires:

• A minimum of a B.S. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, or a related field, with 0-5 years of laboratory experience

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience with cloning and plasmid extraction techniques
• Experience with automation, liquid handling, and scripting
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
