Your impact begins here As an Associate Scientist in the Centre for Structure & Interactions, you will investigate how therapeutic molecules interact with their targets, working hands-on in the lab to generate reliable data that advances the discovery and characterisation of new medicines. You will prepare, run and evaluate experiments, gaining real ownership as your proficiency grows. Your work directly supports project teams in designing better molecules and selecting candidates that can improve health for people living with serious chronic diseases.

What you'll bring We welcome recent graduates, so if you enjoy hands-on experimental work and want to grow your technical expertise, we would like to hear from you. You will need:

• An M.Sc. in biochemistry, biophysics, biotechnology, chemistry, molecular biology or a related discipline.
• Approximately 0–2 years of working experience (recent graduates are welcome).
• Practical laboratory experience from your Master's thesis, research projects or employment, involving proteins, peptides or biochemical assays.
• An understanding of experimental controls, reproducibility and data quality, and the ability to analyse and discuss results.
• A structured approach to planning and documenting experiments, with a commitment to safety and scientific integrity.
• Good collaboration skills and clear communication in English, our team's working language.

Useful, but not essential:

• Experience with SPR, fluorescence-based assays or challenging proteins such as integral membrane proteins.

What you'll do Your work will focus on generating trusted experimental data and interpreting what it means for drug discovery:

• Prepare, perform and evaluate experiments using surface plasmon resonance (SPR), fluorescence-based assays and other relevant techniques.
• Contribute to experimental planning and troubleshooting within agreed study plans.
• Analyse and interpret results, and discuss what they mean for molecular design and candidate selection.
• Take ownership of experiments, gaining independence as your proficiency grows.
• Share knowledge with scientists and experienced laboratory technicians to keep improving how the team works.

Who you'll work with You will join the Centre for Structure & Interactions, part of Therapeutics Discovery within Research & Development at Novo. Our current team of 17 scientists and laboratory professionals contributes to the identification, optimisation and characterisation of drug candidates across therapy areas, combining expertise in molecular structure, interactions and function. You will work closely with experienced scientists who guide you on new methods and complex assignments, alongside skilled laboratory technicians. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and colleagues across global research sites, bringing together complementary capabilities and diverse perspectives. English is the working language across the team.

The base compensation range for this position is between 499,600.00 (minimum) to 734,400.00 DKK (maximum). Base compensation is one part of the total compensation package, which may include performance-based incentives and benefits. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
