About the Role

We’re seeking a talented Research Scientist to contribute to our bio research initiatives focused on health sensor integrations for our AI coffee machine. You’ll dive into the biological impacts of caffeine and related compounds, develop models for saliva-based diagnostics, and integrate these with our AGI framework to enhance user health outcomes. This role involves collaborative research, data analysis, and innovation in bio-AI synergies, all in a fully remote environment that prioritizes flexibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments on how caffeine, polyphenols, and other coffee-related compounds interact with human physiology, including metabolism, neurochemistry, and microbiome effects.
• Develop and optimize health sensor integrations, such as saliva cup analyzers for biomarkers (e.g., cortisol, glucose, hydration levels) and other wearable or embedded sensors for real-time monitoring.
• Collaborate with our AGI team to incorporate biological data into machine learning models for predictive health analytics and personalized recommendations.
• Analyze large datasets from biological assays, sensor outputs, and user interactions to uncover insights on compound-biology interactions.
• Contribute to research papers, patents, and prototypes that advance our AI coffee machine’s health features.
• Stay current with advancements in bioinformatics, sensor technology, and AI-driven biology to inform project directions.
• Participate in virtual team meetings, code reviews, and cross-functional brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications:

• PhD, Master’s degree or undergraduate degree in Biology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong background in human physiology, particularly in areas like pharmacology, metabolomics, or neurobiology.
• Experience with health sensors, biosensors, or diagnostic tools (e.g., saliva-based assays, wearables).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R) and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Knowledge of caffeine and compound interactions with biology is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative research in bio-tech or health integrations.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong communication skills for virtual collaboration.
• Passion for AI applications in health and wellness.
