Genethra is seeking a Protein, Gene Editing & Synthetic Biology Research Scientist to support the design and validation of therapeutic proteins, gene editors, nucleic acid systems, and synthetic biological circuits. This role bridges computational design with experimental biology.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design and validation of proteins, gene editors, base editors, prime editors, or synthetic oligonucleotides.
- Assist with experimental workflows for protein engineering or genome editing.
- Analyze editing efficiency, specificity, off-target risk, and biological function.
- Collaborate with delivery, therapeutic, and AI teams.
- Help translate AI-generated biological designs into testable experiments.
Requirements
- Background in molecular biology, protein engineering, synthetic biology, genetics, or related field.
- Familiarity with CRISPR, gene editing, protein design, or nucleic acid therapeutics.
- Experience with experimental validation or computational design is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and scientific documentation.
- Interest in therapeutic translation.
