We are seeking a part-time Bioinformatician (Grade 8) (3 days per week) to join the research team led by Professor Andres Floto in the Department of Medicine, University of Cambridge.
You will be based in the Department of Medicine at the new Heart Lung Research Institute on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The post is available for one year in the first instance.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning solutions to analysis of genomic and clinical data for several studies ongoing in the Floto group, and to provide bioinformatics support to several computational projects within the Floto Lab.
The Department of Medicine provides an exciting multidisciplinary research environment with strong collaborations with the WT Sanger Institute, EMBL-EBI, and University Departments of Biochemistry, Chemistry and Engineering.
