Role Overview:

We're looking to onboard experienced scientific reviewers with deep expertise across biology, chemistry, and translational research domains. These experts will help evaluate technical quality, scientific reasoning, and research outputs across a range of discovery and applied science workflows.

Target expertise areas include:

• Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry
• Protein Science & Structural Biology
• Molecular & Cell Biology
• Assay Development & Screening
• Bioinformatics / Computational Biology
• Clinical & Translational Research

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computational Biology, Translational Science, or closely related life sciences fields
• Meaningful publication history in peer-reviewed research
• Industry experience preferred, ideally 4+ years (minimum 2 years required)
• Prior work in biotech, pharma, drug discovery, translational science, or related R&D settings
• Strong critical thinking and scientific communication skills
• Based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, or Europe preferred

Contract and Payment Terms:

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
