Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a Musculoskeletal Imaging Radiologist to serve as the Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology. The selected candidate will be appointed at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series, depending on qualifications and interests.

The selected candidate will hold responsibility and accountability for administrative and programmatic oversight of the clinical, research, educational, and service activities in Musculoskeletal Radiology in alignment with the department's strategy, vision, mission, and goals. Obligations include departmental leadership and administration, delivery of high-quality care for patients, stewardship of educational and research programs in Musculoskeletal Imaging, and faculty mentoring.

The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability (or eligible) to practice medicine in California, and completion of fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or be prepared to enter into the ABR Alternate Pathway. Applicant materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission. The qualifications are to be met by the time of the faculty appointment start date.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $190,600-$405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
