This new post represents an exciting opportunity to join the existing multimorbidity team. We explore risks, mechanisms, health and socioeconomic consequences and treatment for multimorbidity employing electronic health records, population cohorts and biobanks. Our work has been used by NHS England to inform policy. This post is funded by the UCLH Biomedical Research Centre. The focus of this post is on the relationship between multimorbidity and both health and socioeconomic outcomes. We focus on major conditions that often co-occur and have similar pathways, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, renal disease, dementia and adverse mental health. You will explore clustering of these conditions and how they impact health outcomes. You will work alongside a team of social scientists that in parallel explore impacts on socioeconomic outcomes. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a researcher to develop their analytical skills. This post is for 10 months in the first instance.
