Clinical Research Fellow

We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Research Fellow to join a research team at UCL. This is a laboratory-based research role with no clinical duties, involving sample collection, wet lab work, and computational analysis. The post provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career doctor to gain experience in translational research within a supportive academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake laboratory-based research, including sample processing and analysis
• Contribute to data analysis and interpretation
• Maintain accurate research records and documentation
• Work collaboratively within the research team
• Assist in dissemination of research findings (e.g. reports, presentations)

Eligibility / Compliance Statement

This post is evaluated and funded at FY2 level (Nodal Point 2). Applications will therefore only be considered from candidates who meet this level of experience. Candidates with experience beyond FY2 (or equivalent) will not be progressed.

Key Requirements (Essential Criteria)

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
• Completed the UK Foundation Programme (FY2) or equivalent internationally
• Demonstrable interest in research
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Good organisational and communication skills
