Staff Associate I Full-time NEW

The candidate will assist with on-going projects in the lab, and overtime will also play a lead role in pursuing projects. The main responsibilities include designing experiments, conducting experiments (e.g., tissue culture, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry etc.), data analysis, presenting at lab meetings, and manuscript writing. As needed, the candidate will also help with lab management tasks, including preparing reagents, lab organization, and equipment maintenance etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Share knowledge of cell biology and molecular biology and participate in scientific discussions and meetings.
• Under the supervision of the principal investigator, candidate will design and conduct experiments and also analyze results to address key questions in immunology. 
• Follow defined protocols from the lab and also adapt protocols from the literature to fit each experimental design. Will conduct some experiments independently, and some experiments in collaboration with others. 
• Conduct tissue culture, molecular biology, and biochemistry experiments. Also requires ability to operate and maintain equipment. 
• Organize experimental results, present data at meetings, and participate in scientific discussions. 

Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field.
