We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join the Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit, based in Bangkok, Thailand. You will work with colleagues across data, IT, and operations to develop and maintain the data pipelines that underpin institutional dashboards.
You will design data pipelines that integrate operational and administrative data from institutional systems for analytics and reporting, and develop and maintain automated processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data used in dashboards and reports. Other duties will include implementing validation checks within pipelines to detect missing data, inconsistencies, and duplicate records and monitoring data pipelines and scheduled refresh processes, investigating failures, and updating pipelines when source systems or reporting requirements change.
It is essential that you hold a Masters Degree in computer science, data science, informatics, or a related field along with some experience building and maintaining data pipelines or ETL processes. You will be experienced in preparing and managing datasets used for analytics or reporting, and have strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
