We are looking for a Data Manager to join the Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre (CTC) team. The main purpose of this post is to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data collection, adherence to trial protocols and to assist with closure of trial sites and archiving of documentation related to the trials.
The Data Manager also plays a key role in supporting the trial teams in administrative tasks and is a key point of contact for hospitals participating in our trials.
The CTC offers hybrid working for all staff, with a minimum of 60% FTE office attendance required for this post (3 days per week for full time staff), along with many other benefits. All staff are provided with excellent training opportunities, and the CTC team actively encourages ongoing personal development and learning.
This is a full-time, open-ended post, funded for 1 year in the first instance. Appointments are usually made at the beginning of the salary scale.
We are looking for an individual with a comprehensive knowledge of biomedical or life sciences, along with knowledge of the different phases of clinical trials, and the design and aims of each phase. The ability to interpret and process large amounts of complex information is essential, as is experience in data entry and using databases.
