MSc/PhD Student Positions
Gene Regulation in Stem Cell Biology, Brain Development, and Aging
Yang Laboratory – University of Calgary, Canada
About the Project
The Yang Laboratory (yanglaboratory.ca) invites applications from highly motivated individuals for MSc and PhD positions in stem cell biology and neuroscience. Our research uses mouse models to dissect gene regulatory mechanisms governing neural stem cell behavior and neuronal function during brain development and aging. A complementary avenue investigates the molecular and cellular basis of rare neurodevelopmental disorders using patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models and mouse disease models.
Students will be fully funded and embedded in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment within the Departments of Medical Genetics and Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.
