The Department of Radiological Sciences at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is recruiting for a full-time Professor (all ranks) to join our Diagnostic Neuroradiology Section with an emphasis on head and neck imaging.
Clinical responsibilities will comprise coverage of all diagnostic neuroradiology inpatient and outpatient services at all hospitals (3) and outpatient imaging centers (10) in a rapidly expanding academic health system, UCLA Health. This position encompasses all major diagnostic (CT, MR, and fluoroscopy) modalities, the performance of ACGME-defined image-guided procedures, and on-call/weekend coverage. The candidate will supervise and teach top-flight diagnostic neuroradiology fellows and radiology residents.
The candidate must be board-certified in radiology, fellowship trained in diagnostic neuroradiology, and eligible for California licensure. This position requires superior clinical, procedural, and teaching skills. Specific interest in the full range of head and neck imaging as well as competence and interest in image guided head and neck procedures, particularly tissue acquisition, is required. Experience in image guided (ultrasound and/or CT guided) head and neck therapeutic procedures is highly desirable. A broad interest in diagnostic neuroradiology and in the new field of machine learning is favored, as is the ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and clinical colleagues and an interest in collaboration with surgical colleagues. The Department is seeking candidates with the potential to be outstanding in the above-noted requirements in clinical work, research, and teaching.
The salary range for this position is $553,738-$685,280. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
Basic qualifications:
Qualified applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent. Must be eligible for California licensure and American Board of Radiology certification.
Preferred qualifications:
Fellowship training in diagnostic neuroradiology.
