University of California, San Francisco Department of Medicine-Hematology/Oncology Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (Health Science Clinical or Clinical X series) – Medical Oncology
The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Division of Hematology/Oncology are recruiting for new clinical faculty members at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.
Candidates' primary responsibility in this position will be to provide outstanding patient care, with the expectation of attending on the UCSF Health three-hospital inpatient solid tumor oncology consult service (Parnassus, Mt. Zion, and Mission Bay) and some solid tumor outpatient clinic as well. Candidates should have a commitment to patient care and a track record of clinical excellence and experience in the treatment and management of patients with solid tumors (either in general oncology or within a subspecialty area). As part of this role, they will work closely with colleagues in other cancer subspecialties, attend multidisciplinary tumor board conferences, supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows during their inpatient and outpatient clinical rotations, and work with advanced practice clinicians. Candidates will be expected to contribute to the clinical research program of the Heme/Onc Division by enrolling to ongoing clinical trials. Serving as a Principal Investigator on trials and/or developing their own research projects is also encouraged but not mandatory, depending on the academic and research interests of the candidate.
Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be ABIM certified or eligible in Medical Oncology. The appointment will be made in the Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X series at a rank compatible with the candidate's qualifications. Compensation for these specific clinical faculty positions will be supplemented above academic norms.

The total compensation for this position ranges from $289,267 – $420,530, with potential for clinical incentives.
Total compensation at the University of California, San Francisco includes your base salary, which is determined by your rank and step at appointment, and negotiated pay for Health Sciences Compensation Plan members. Faculty who are members of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan may also be eligible for additional incentive pay.
