The Micro and Nanosystems Lab invites applications for a Ph.D. student position. We are seeking applicants who have a desire to conduct cutting-edge research within the area of biomedical MEMS. As a Ph.D. student in MEMS you will be part of an interdisciplinary research team that consists of members with different professional and cultural backgrounds.
The doctoral project aims to develop next generation minimally invasive sampling technologies for neuro biomarkers. The work includes developing the technical platform and evaluating it in relevant models in vitro and in vivo. The project addresses several research challenges in miniaturization, biomechanics and microfabrication. Your research will be application focused and address real issues. You will work in a very innovative environment in collaboration with clinical experts at Karolinska Institutet and SciLifeLab.
Supervision: Prof. Niclas Roxhed is proposed to supervise the doctoral student. Decisions are made on admission.
