The UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and UCLA Health is recruiting a full-time faculty Clinical Pathologist (assistant to full professor) with the skills and interest to develop a strong academic career focused in clinical pathology/laboratory medicine. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with expertise in Laboratory Medicine Informatics to assist with the direction and future growth of a robust laboratory informatics program. Successful applicants will be expected to have a record of academic achievement through independent research and scholarly publications. The successful candidate must have an MD/DO (or equivalent) with board certification in Clinical Pathology or a PhD and faculty level experience related to clinical informatics.
This individual will have a collaborative administrative and academic relationship with other faculty within the division of Laboratory Medicine, and will provide clinical informatics consultations across UCLA Health, including high complexity inpatient care at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and Santa Monica UCLA Hospital. While not required, we will consider candidate requests for a minor portion of clinical service effort, covering typical duties for a faculty member of that service. Duties will also include active participation in the educational mission of the department including the teaching of residents, fellows, and medical school students. Creative contributions in clinical, educational or research projects is expected; UCLA offers a highly collaborative research environment that promotes interactions among faculty in the School of Medicine.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 Scale 6. The salary range for this position is $223,200 – $464,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
